Meet Our Experienced Management Team

Jay has over 25 years of experience in data centers and infrastructure strategy across the mission critical and digital infrastructure industries. Jay’s expertise spans strategy, design, construction, and operations of enterprise, colocation and hyperscale data centers, hosted and self-mined cryptocurrency data centers, and a multitude of high-performance and application-specific computing facilities.

Prior to joining Core Scientific in 2024, Jay served in multiple roles in the data center space, including most recently as Senior Director of Digital Mining at Talen Energy, Chief Crypto Mining Officer at Amber Group, and Senior Director of Critical Data Center Infrastructure at DataBank. Jay’s responsibilities and involvement in the digital infrastructure industry include over 100 data center projects consisting of more than 2 GW of designed energy usage.

Jay’s career started in the US Army as a Construction Engineering Specialist and graduate of the US Army Engineering School. Jay holds a BS in Mechanical Engineering Related Technologies from Concordia and certifications as an Accredited Tier Specialist with the Uptime Institute, LEED NC, and Critical Maintenance Management.
